In an effort to detatch and reduce use of electricity, hundreds of candles are lit daily, Including the rooms! The traditional eyeliner Kajal👏👏 @feynaneco The traditional eyeliner Kajal👏👏 @feynanecolodge brought us to the home of a local Bedouin family that taught us how their Kajal or eyeliner kohl is made — and it’s actually really simple! Step 1: soak some cotton in a tin with olive oil Step 2: light the ends of cotton on fire Step 3: place flames under a large lid, leaving a small gap at bottom for smoke to escape Step 4: wait 10-15 minutes Step 5: scrape the powder from the lid and apply! This was one of my favorite experiences! It will never not be cool to learn about traditions and how things are made!! This is… 📍Wadi Ghuweir in Jordan From @feyn This is… 📍Wadi Ghuweir in Jordan From @feynanecolodge it was around 2.5, almost 3 hours in the car through the mountains and villages to get to the start of this hike — With confidence I can say it was worth it. Genuinely the some of the most gorgeous landscapes I’ve ever seen, accompanied with an intermediate level hike along the water stream. I would not have known about this hike without @feynanecolodge but it was an unreal experience.
