Puglia for Foodies part 4 Time for Puglia National Puglia for Foodies part 4
Time for Puglia National Pasta Dish!

Pasta Orecchiette, the vegan pasta that is only made from flour, water and pinch of salt (no eggs)

Do you know what Orecchiette means? It means the little ears, this pasta named with this name due to how its shaped .. did you know this before?

Typical suace is Cime di Rapa (Turnip heads) or the simple and classical one, with sugo (ie tomato suace)🤌🏼🤌🏼😋😋

Have you tried it before? Have you tried making it before? It looks easy to form! Trust me... its not!

Famous street with Nonne doing this pasta is located in Bari Vecchia (Bari city center)

Now... tell me which one did you try in the comments ⬇️⬇️

As we are approaching the autumn months and moving As we are approaching the autumn months and moving away from the summertime, is it still worth it to visit Puglia?

The answer is ..... absolutely yes! Up until October the water is warm enough to swim (maybe some beach clubs are closed, but you are always welcome to get your own towel and have a swim... for free!)

As for sightseeing, after mid September, the weather become very pleasant to walk and explore towns in slower and non exhausting paces, still summer temperatures, but in the high 20s rather high 30s... big difference right?

Also, did you know that towns like Locorotondo & Alberobello (pretty much most of Puglia) become so festive with amazing lights displays during Christmas??? Well now you know! We might not have traditional German Christmas markets, but we have phenomenal light displays!

The only months I would not visit Puglia, are January and February, as most of stays, resturants and activities stop trading and taking long holidays before the next season comes... however, this doesn't mean you will see ghost towns! We still live here, but we will be at a very slower pace 🐌🐌

Which month did you visit Puglia? And did you enjoy it? Share with me in the comments your pros and cons of your visit ⬇️⬇️⬇️
